Valuation Day

We arranged to have a special local valuation day as part of the Furzedown Festival with Roseberys.

Three experts from Rosebery's Fine Art & Antiques Auction House were there to value our treasures and tell us more about them. It was be a bit like a cross between 'The Antique Roadshow' and 'Dickenson's Real Deal' where you just bring items along, under no obligation (although we weren't able to listen in to other people's valuations). The experts were very friendly and able to answer lots of your questions.

  • Richard Gibbon: Jewellery, Silver and Vintage Fashion

  • Mark Longley: Ceramics & Glass, Furniture, Works of Art and Clocks

  • Elizabeth Comba: Paintings, Pictures and Prints

Lots of interesting items were brought along including a giant french poster of Midnight Cowboy and a 500 year old Japanese plate. Last year this was also a very popular event and the guys from Rosebery's were very impressed with the range of items brought - especially the art.

Roseberys is South London's favourite auction house, based in West Norwood and has sold some amazing items, there are sales held throughout the year and if you weren't able to get to this event you can pop along for a free valuation - please see their website for details.
