Once the crisis is over we are hoping to put on some special events which will help raise morale and funds for struggling charities.
We hope to have a Garden Gig this summer - although it will be at short notice - which will be featuring great musicians and delicious foods. There will also be street plant sales over the summer and hopefully we can find a local event to sell our lovely Heyland & Whittle goodies.
We are already planning the FACE Quiz Night on 3rd October and we have the Furzedown Christmas Fair to look forward to!
We now have a card reader - this is available for any local groups or charities to borrow - please get in touch!
On September 18th 2017 the chill-out room for young people with cancer was opened in St George's Hospital by Dr Rosanna Allin-Khan MP Read more here.
Our events and support from businesses like The Rose & Crown have all helped make this success possible. Heyland & Whittle (who used to live in Furzedown) donate their wonderful products it means 100% of what we sell goes to local charities.
We are always looking for new sponsors, raffle prizes and people to help join the fun!

Who we're helping...
We recently built a set of five big planters to enhance the bare playground of a local child care facility
Stuart, who makes the lovely Furzedown Window boxes which are for sale at The Big Day Out, has designed and hand-made these fantastic wooden planters, in which the toddlers and their families are enjoying growing flowers, fresh fruit and vegetables - a fun and delicious way to learn about healthy eating and where food comes from!
Our neighbour Gareth died from MND so we're raising money for the local South London Motor Neurone Disease Association that helped him and his family.
We are helping The Furzedown Youth Club and supporting their new after-school drop-in initiative. Also paid for a First aid course, indoor activities and bought a vacuum cleaner.
Thanks to Furzedown, St George's Hospital are providing a special chill-out area for young people undergoing cancer treatment
We have helped the local Multiple Sclerosis group set up a special chair-based weekly yoga class in Wandsworth
We have provided planters for a local nursery playground
As well as sponsoring their minibus, we have provided The Furzedown Project with a life-saving defibrillator and media resources to enhance their fitness programmes and community talks plus ongoing support for their website.
We have paid to train four specialist swimming volunteers for handicapped children in Wandsworth
We supported a half-term cookery course at The Graveney Canteen
We also make regular donations to Furzedown Foodbank for items not donated
and to Teens Unite.
We've fundraised for St George's Hospital to create a much needed area for YOUNG PEOPLE WITH CANCER; local fundraising initiatives have helped us reach the target!
