Top Tooting turnout for Charity Quiz Night

Sadiq Khan MP opened the evening to a packed hall in Graveney School, he chatted to local schoolgirl Ava, who lost her father to Motor Neurone Disease two years ago, which who had inspired him to become a patron of that charity.

The evening started with a Heads & Tails game and then into the fun quiz with rounds ranging from sweetie tasting to current affairs. The winning team were The Biscuits, but it was close! There was a tasty meal with delicious home-made cakes and lots of chances to win great prizes donated by lots of local businesses.

It was a fantastic night and raised over £3000 for local charities, including supporting South London MNDA and to provide a ‘chill-out room’ for teenagers with cancer in St Georges which, thanks to events like this, should be opening in the new year.
