Tootastic wine tasting

We supported The Furzedown Project's Wine Tasting event with Urban Wine UK on Thursday 9th November 7pm to 9pm

This great fundraising event is with Urban Wine Co - which produces 'Chateau' Tooting, wonderful wines from grapes grown in gardens, allotments and smallholdings  across London. It included the opportunity to try all four wines they've produced - the original blush, sparkling white, sparkling blush and the new red.

The founder Richard, gave a fascinating talk about when the idea first formed in his local back garden in 2009, insights about the process, the people involved, what happened with the name ‘Chateau’ and this year’s fantastic harvest of 2 metric tonnes of fruit which will make approximately 1,600 bottles of wine.
