Chilling-out at the Garden Gig

On Friday 24 June we hosted a fantastic Garden Gig as part of the 2016 Furzedown Festival.

After a very traumatic day it was wonderful to do something positive and relax, eat a fantastic meal and listen to live music. Alan Feast opened his beautiful garden and prepared a delicious selection of food; including beer-smoked chicken, burgers and a delicious vegetarian option with drinks - to enjoy while listening to live acoustic music.

The evening started with talented performances from Graveney School Music department: singers Willow and Josh, Ella on the flute, Faye on the piano, Teiba on electric guitar and Mia, Alice, Oliver and Theo on the Sax. Their teachers Ms Berry and Ms King must be very proud of these fantastic performers. Many of their friends also came to support them.

To end the evening the great singer/songwriter Gabriel Mesh played (www.gabrielmesh.com) - he is helping organise and will be appearing in this year's Tooting Folk-Festival on 6 August which we'll be looking forward to going to!
